Wow, what's its power output and is it single cylinder? I also use to own a Yamaha DT 250 76 model. It gets a single-cylinder, two-stroke engine with a compression ratio of 6.8:1. The Yamaha DT 250 is fitted with a 5-speed gearbox and it gets a Mikuni carburettor with 28 mm diameter. I not sure about my models power output, but checked the specs sheet of the 1977 model here on motowag, that states that the Yamaha DT 250 makes 17 hp. Its max torque output is claimed to be around 20.7 Nm. Mileage of this dual-sport was on the lower side but it manages to breach the 100 kmph mark with a little struggle. I loved riding the DT 250 very much and It seems Yamaha has replaced it with the XT 250.
