Been about a year now since I got paint protection film put on my daily driver, just the front bumper, half hood, mirrors and headlights, and I figured I would share how it has held up because I was pretty skeptical about spending that kind of money at first. My car sits outside in the sun all day and I do a lot of highway driving, so the front was already taking a beating before the film went on. So far no rock chips on the covered areas, which honestly surprised me, but I have noticed a slight line where dust collects along the edge of the hood piece and one corner near the wheel arch started lifting a tiny bit after a pressure wash. I actually found https://paintprotectionfilm.ae/car-p...n-dubai-guide/ while comparing installers and it helped me figure out what to ask about film brands, warranties and whether the shop does wrapped edges or not. Now I am wondering if I should have just done the full front or gone for a complete wrap since the doors and rear bumper are starting to pick up small marks too. Anyone else here had PPF for a while, did you get edge lifting fixed under warranty or did you just leave it? And is adding ceramic coating on top really necessary or is that just an upsell?
