Bit of a panic situation last Thursday. I was getting my 2018 Wrangler ready for a trip to Jebel Hafit over the weekend and noticed the brakes were squealing badly, metal on metal kind of sound, and I knew there was no way I was driving up a mountain with pads that thin. Problem was it was already Thursday afternoon and most places I called said they couldn't take me until Saturday or even Monday, which would have killed the whole trip. A guy in my building mentioned there's a Fast brake pad change service in Mussafah that takes walk ins and doesn't need you to leave the car overnight, so I figured it was worth a shot. Called them, they said come in, and honestly I was in and out in about 90 minutes with new pads up front and they even showed me the old ones which were completely shot. Ended up making the trip and the brakes felt perfect. Now I'm wondering if that was just lucky timing or if these quick turnaround places are actually reliable long term. Has anyone used a shop like that for brakes and had issues later? I keep second guessing whether fast means they cut corners somewhere.
